Being one that went through living the lifestyle of a prodigal son for many years, I give pastor Uri’s article a loud shout out! I envy the person that avoided dining with pigs. He/she spared parents, family, and friends the fallout that results when the prodigal becomes nothing more than a spiritual hand grenade, wrecking the lives that love him most. Conversely, the consistency in the life of a warrior for Christ that didn’t stray far and wide is to be most appreciated and emulated.
Oh that the Father would grant strength to our children and grandchildren to persevere in faithfulness and have glorious testimonies of steady obedience that honors our God! May God grant necessary grace for repentance and renewal to those who have strayed far from the fold and cause them to long for and return to the fellowship they have forsaken. And may the Spirit pursue those yet lost in darkness and give to them efficacious grace to be HIS!
