I’ve been in Asia for ten days. Last week, I arrived in Tokyo for about 20 hours and then flew to Manila, where I spent five days. It’s been great having Ben Zedek accompany me on my trip to the Philippines. He’s a faithful CREC pastor in Tokyo, with some experience ministering to the folks in the Philippines. We have conversed about ministry for many hours on a plane and in the wild rides through Filipino towns.

The bulk of the first leg of my trip was in several towns in and outside Manila. Instead of arriving and moving straight to the lectures and sermons, the team set aside one day for me to meet the pastors and their wives. The intention was to offer wisdom and spend time with the key CREC figures overseeing a revival of Reformed worship and practice in their churches.
